Aquarium Soil is a complete bottom layer, which can be used without any other types of the bottom layer. The grain size of 2-3 mm makes it easy for planting. Aquarium Soil ensures proper growth and stimulates red colors.
Aquarium Soil ensures good and active growth from the beginning and boosts the red plant shades. It is a complete substrate, which can be used without any other types of the bottom layer. Aquarium Soil is further an active bottom layer that lowers the pH value and slightly affects the water chemistry. We recommend that you change 25-50% of the water min. twice a week during the first 4 weeks after establishing the aquarium.
Power Sand Advance is a nutrients rich substrate for the bottom floor. This product has more nutrients than POWER SAND BASIC, and on top of BACTER 100 and Clear Super (Both of them reproduce the soil ecosystem by abundant nutrients and the activated microorganisms in the soil, and it helps water plants to grow well for a long period time), it's also blended with BC powder (bamboo charcoal powder), which helps encourage the growth of plants.
Very rich in nutrients
Contains Bacter 100 and Clear Super for the optimal start of your aquascape
Sufficient supply of oxygen is vital for aerobic bacteria. Insufficient oxygen prompts the activity of anaerobic bacteria which produce toxic substances such as nitrous acid
Organic matter in Power Sand or other bottom fertilizers such as Multi Bottom or Iron Bottom, can be absorbed by aquatic plants, only when they are broken down to inorganic matter by bacteria
Silt gathers around plant roots and provides a good medium for bacterial colonization. Proper functions of bacteria, through their nitrifying processes, change ammonia to nitrogen compounds which are then consumed by aquatic plants through their roots
Works effectively to stimulate the establishment of an association between bacteria and aquatic plants
Nutrients contained in Power Sand are slowly dissolved and absorbed by plant roots
Colorado Sand is natural sand in natural reddish color. It is suitable for general aquarium use and also good as cosmetic sand for planted aquarium. It has a wide array of uses without affecting water quality. It is great to place a thin layer of Colorado Sand on the bottom of a small aquarium with WABI-KUSA
La Plata Sand is natural sand having natural bright color. It is suitable for general aquarium use and also good as cosmetic sand for planted aquarium. With its natural white color, La Plata Sand creates an atmosphere of natural river bed in aquarium. It does not affect the Water quality parameter.
Among Aqua Soil series essential for the substrate of Nature Aquarium, Amazonia is most effective in promoting the growth of aquatic plants and most aquatic plants grow healthy and beautifully with this soil. On the other hand, Amazonia is a substrate material having a strong character and certain techniques are required to use it.
Amazonia is substrate material, rich in organic acid and nutrients, promoting the growth of aquatic plant roots. By combining with Power Sand, it becomes the ideal substrate for plants. Powder type is used for small size aquarium or for spreading lightly over the normal type Amazonia.
Soil can cause water cloudiness especially when there are no plants in the tank. A 50% water change is recommended in 2-3 days after Amazonia soil gets introduced into the tank.
Power Sand Basic is the power sand substrate that is what the Advance is based on. This product is perfect for smaller planted aquariums and is a first layer base substrate material designed for providing vital nutrients to the roots of aquatic plants. This excellent product also promotes ongoing growth of substrate bacteria. This very porous “sub” substrate media has a massive surface area which stimulates good water circulation, and organic nutrients to promote the growths of multi-strains of bacteria. Power Sand Basic is really not "that basic after all"; rich with BACTER 100 and Clear Super, this ecellent product will jump start any small planted aquarium to higher standard!
The Power Sand is a vital part of the ADA Substrate System that is famous the world over. Utilizing just the Amazonia Soils is only ½ of the method of success. With ADA Power Sand, the substrate has a maximum potential for water and nutrient circulation which carries oxygen to stimulate bacterial activity and the development of the plant roots. This is the ideal condition of a healthy substrate, in order to establish a balanced ecosystem.
In other soils or substrates, persistent problems occur with the passage of time. Water circulation is obstructed with buildup and anaerobic activity starts to occur, thus rotting the roots of the plants. The mixed size substrate with Power Sand at the bottom secures good water circulation due to the multiple shapes and sizes of the granules. Even when aquatic plants have been growing for long periods and waste matter accumulates, Power Sand maintains proper water circulation.
Jungle Base is a substrate material to be spread on the bottom of aquarium tanks where water tends to be stagnant in paludarium. Pumice is used as the base for Jungle Base combined with soil microorganisms effective for the plant growth and charcoal powder which maintains breathability in the substrate and prevents plant root rot. Please use it with optional Jungle Soil.
ADA best selling Substrate Soil, AQUA SOIL AMAZONIA has been improved!
Aqua Soil - Amazonia is an idea substrate material for Nature Aquarium. With this product, you can easily re-create a natural environment where aquatic plants grow rapidly and fish and invertebrates live a healthy life. It contains plenty of organic acids and nutrients which encourage plants root growth, and provides a perfect substrate system for aquatic plants when used with ADA's POWER SAND. Its powder type performs effectively when used in small-size aquariums or spread in a thin layer over the normal type Amazonia.
Designed to reproduce the image of Amazon, create an aquascape depicting the fertile South American rainforest with the dynamic alternation of rainy and dry seasons. Normal and Powder Type available.
Aqua Soil Series
A high pH level (alkaline) of the substrate causes difficulties for aquatic plants in consuming nutrients. The Aqua Soil Series decreases the hardness of the water and lowers the PH level to the degree at which most aquatic plants can consume nutrients and comfortably grow. Aqua Soil granules maintain their shape and density for long periods underwater securing good circulation of water and oxygen through the substrate. With Aqua Soil, growing difficult plants such as Tonina sp. becomes easier, and it is ideal for fishes demanding soft water.
In addition to the original Aqua Soil Amazonia features, NEW Amazonia has been improved with the followings:
Amazonia makes aquarium water a bit acidic. Aqua Soil lowers pH and KH, and makes an idealistic environment for plants and fish.
New Amazonia contains rich organic acid and nitrogen level. Organic substances in the soil are effective for keeping shrimp in healthy condition.
Its pebbles are hard to crumble. The humic acid helps the plant growth, and hard-to-crumble pebbles do not cause water coloring/cloudiness.
Bottom Plus refines the leaf color of aquatic plants with vigorous nutrient absorption from the roots, since it is particularly fortified with the nitrogen and iron contents that tend to be deficient in the substrate kept for a long-term. Also, as it is produced from the same natural soil as the raw material of Aqua Soil, the stick never remains in the substrate.
Amazonia II uses black soil for raw material and it stands out against the leaf color of aquatic plants, and also includes Amazonia Supplement to enrich nutrients. By adding an appropriate amount of Amazonia supplement and laying Amazonia II, aquatic plants grow better and a beautiful Nature Aquarium can be realized. In addition, natural soils make the water quality suitable for aquatic plants and tropical fish, and it is easy to maintain an aquarium at the initial stage, so it can be used widely from beginners to veterans.
Nutrition Capsules contain both nitrogen, phosphor, iron, and micronutrients. The nutrients are slowly released as the plants need them. Use Nutrition Capsules for stem plants, Cryptocoryne, Echinodorus, Vallisneria, etc. – all plants with sturdy roots.
Nitrogen, phosphor, iron, and manganese, as well as all vital micro nutrients, are released by the capsules over a period of 1-2 months. Place the capsules close to the roots of large solitary plants and plants with sturdy roots.
The capsules do not fully decompose and the small balls inside the capsules will remain in the substrate after all nutrients have been released. The balls are made of resin, which is biologically harmless.

The included Shrimp King Active Soilconsists of up to 100% natural raw materials. Produced from a variety of carefully selected natural soils, it provides essential minerals and trace elements, which promote the health and growth of shrimps.
Shrimp King Active Soil has been developed especially for the successful keeping and breeding of shrimps. It is particularly suited to all species that like soft, slightly acidic water, especially bee shrimps, such as the popular Crystal Red, Red Bee, Tiger Bees and Shadow Shrimp.
It adjusts the water to be more like that which soft water species are accustomed to in their natural habitats. As a natural ion exchanger it reduces the pH and stabilizes it at a slightly acidic level (approx. pH 6.0-6.5). At the same time it reduces the carbonate hardness – down to close to approx. 0-2 °d CH depending on the water source - and thus makes the water considerably softer.
It also serves as a natural source of humic and fulvic acids, without discolouring the water.
Note: This substrate is not recommended for shrimp that require harder or slightly alkaline water, such as shrimp species from Sulawesi lakes.
The Nano Power LED Light has a modern, easy to install, elegant and compact design, equipped with 12 high-quality power LEDs. The spectrum is a 6500K, with a captivating shimmer that naturally renders the colors within the aquarium and provides ample lighting for plants to grow.
The nano corner filter, Eckfilter, is a high-performance device with a pump delivery rate of 150 l/h. The pump runs so smoothly and quietly that it is practically inaudible. Its modest power consumption of just 2 W additionally helps to conserve natural resources.
The water flow rate is infinitely adjustable and the filter outlet can be rotated by 90° to enable the flow of water to be channelled in any desired direction. The filter incorporates a nozzle tube with integrated cleaning slide and a mini-brush for simple cleaning of the nozzle openings.
The narrow intake openings and a very fine-pored preliminary bio foam ensure that the nano corner filter is also safe for young shrimps.
Cleaning the filter element is simplicity itself: Just grip the outflow pipe and pull the filter forward. The rear half of the filter housing remains in the aquarium. Wash the filter element in a clean bucket with aquarium water, to avoid harming the important filtering bacteria.
Designed for the Dennerle Nano Cubes, this Nano Bio CO2 Set will help add carbon dioxide to your planted system. Plants require CO2 as they are composed of almost 50% of it and need it to survive and thrive. CO2 is converted by plants via photosynthesis, as they convert the gas into sugars which they use for food. Plants that are fast growing demand more CO2 and will deplete the system, so adding some will maintain their well being and tank parameters consistent.
Bio CO2 provides a simple and safe method of CO2 fertilization, automatically producing and supplying the aquarium in the correct quantities, so there is no set up needed nor need for measuring. This makes DENNERLE Bio-CO2 ideal for all those who aren`t familiar with CO2 fertilization or for those who may wish to try the method out. After only a few weeks of CO2 fertilization, the results become evident: Plant growth improves substantially, the plants are greener, stronger and display greater vitality. The whole aquarium is brought to life.
The Plant Elixir Fertilizer will keep your aquatic plants healthy and beautiful. It prevents symptoms of iron and potassium deficiency such as yellow and translucent leaves. All important minerals and trace elements are included in a form readily available to plants.

TROPICAL RIVER SOIL, made from natural soil, is a substrate material ideal for aquarium and terrarium. It makes the aquarium water mildly acidic for aquatic plant and fish.
This substrate material reproduces a tropical atmosphere with exposed red soil. It proposes a new idea of “cosmetic soil.”
Due to the nature of the base soil, the granular shape stays for a long period, and it also lowers pH level. Since the amount of organic matters is not as high as that of ADA Amazonia, plants grow slower in DOOA Tropical river soil.
Amazonia Ver.2 uses rare Japanese black soil as main raw material. The dark black color contrasts well against the leaf colors of aquatic plants and makes the colors of aquatic plants stand out. It includes pellet sized Amazonia concentrate supplement in a separate bag that is rich in organic components and trace elements to recreate the natural condition of Amazon river water. By adding an appropriate amount of Amazonia concentrate supplement underneath the Amazonia Ver.2 black soil, it makes it possible to provide rich essential organic components without being directly exposed to water column. This new method reduce problems such as turbid water and algae outbreaks. In addition, natural black soil further conditions the water quality, provides essential elements, and makes it suitable for aquatic plants and tropical fish. It also buffers water naturally and makes the PH of the water slightly acidic. As a result of the combination of natural Japanese black soil and Amazon concentrate supplement, tropical fish and aquatic plants thrive with enhanced vivid colors and a beautiful Nature Aquarium can be achieved. It is also easy to use, so no matter you are a beginner or an experienced aquarist, it will help you create a beautiful Nature Aquarium effortlessly.
Iron Bottom is a stick of nutrients with balanced formula of trace elements and coated iron. It is recommended for the growth of Echinodorus and Cryptocoryne, which mainly absorb nutrients from the roots.
Multi Bottom is a stick of nutrients with balanced formula of trace elements, which are vital for aquatic plant growth. To keep an aquascape for a long time, insert Multi Bottom in the substrate as a nutrient supplement.
Malaya is the substrate material produced with an image of ocher color soil in Southeast Asia. It promotes a natural feeling of the aquascape. Relatively soft granules do not obstruct the growth of plant roots, and it is suitable for keeping the aquarium layout for a long period.
A concentrate, used under gravel when planning the aquarium ensures healthy and longterm growth is neutral and does not affect the KH or pH value of the water. The substrate absorbs nutrients and makes them available for plant roots.
Use it under your aquarium gravel to create a super nutritious growing medium for plants. Similar to dirted tanks.
How to use the product:
Plant Growth Substrate is laid in a 1 cm thick layer on the bottom of the aquarium, when the aquarium is built. Cap with gravel.
